When will the BSEB Class 12th compartment exams 2025 be held?
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially announced the dates for the Class 12th special and compartment exams 2025. These exams will begin on May 2 and will continue until May 13, 2025.
The practical examinations are scheduled right after, between May 14 and May 15, 2025. This exam window applies to students from all streams — Science, Commerce, Arts, and Vocational.
What are the timings for the exams?
This year, the exams will be conducted in two shifts daily, giving students some flexibility:

Students will get a 15-minute cool-off period before the start of each paper. This time is meant to help them go through the question paper calmly before beginning their answers.
Why are these exams a crucial opportunity?
The compartment exams are a golden chance for students who couldn’t pass one or more subjects in the main board exams. It offers them a second shot to clear their papers and save their academic year.
The main BSEB Class 12th results were declared on March 25, 2025, with an overall pass percentage of 86.56%. The final board exams were earlier held from February 1 to February 15 in a similar two-shift format.
What is the complete exam schedule?
The BSEB Class 12th theory exams will be held from May 2 to May 13, 2025, followed by the practical exams scheduled on May 14 and 15, 2025. Each day, the exams will be conducted in two shifts — the morning session from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM and the afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. In both shifts, students will be given a 15-minute cool-off time before the exam begins, allowing them to calmly read through the question paper before attempting it.
