CIET-NCERT will conduct an online training programme on “Integration of Virtual Labs in Teaching-Learning and Assessment” from 7 September to 14 September 2026. The programme will run from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
The training aims to help teachers and learners use Virtual Labs as part of practical and experience-based education. The programme follows the vision of NEP 2020 and the goal of SDG4. These frameworks seek to promote inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all.

Virtual Labs aim to strengthen learning by doing
NEP 2020 highlights the need to create Virtual Labs so that students can access quality practical and hands-on learning experiences. The policy also recommends the use of platforms such as DIKSHA to create and support Virtual Labs.
Virtual Labs allow students to perform experiments through online simulations. Students can explore concepts through practical activities instead of relying only on textbooks or videos. These resources include videos and animations. They also include simulations and self-assessment activities.
CIET-NCERT launched Virtual Labs on DIKSHA on 29 July 2022. The platform now offers more than 854 Virtual Labs.
Students and teachers can access these resources through the DIKSHA portal and mobile application. They can also access them through QR codes in NCERT textbooks. The resources are also available through Personalized Adaptive Learning and Ask DIKSHA.
The training will focus on helping teachers and students understand how they can use these resources in classrooms and at home. It will also introduce ways to support experiential learning and inquiry-based learning through Virtual Labs.

The programme welcomes students teachers teacher educators parents administrators and members of the general public.
Participants need to register before joining the training. They can register through the registration form provided by CIET-NCERT. They can also use the QR code shared in the programme information.

How to Participate in the Training?
Step 1: Register for the Programme
Participants need to register for the training through the registration form. They can also scan the QR code provided by CIET-NCERT to complete registration.
Step 2: Watch the Live Training Sessions
Participants can watch the live sessions on the NCERT Official YouTube Channel from 7 September to 14 September 2026. The sessions will run from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
The sessions will also be available on PMeVIDYA Channels 6 to 12 and the listed television and digital platforms.
Step 3: Complete the Online Course
Participants can join the five Virtual Labs courses on the DIKSHA portal. They need to watch the videos and study the available learning resources.
Step 4: Take the Final Assessment
Participants must complete the final assessment to qualify for certification. They can attempt the assessment up to three times. They need to score 70% or above to become eligible for the certificate.
Step 5: Get the Certificate
Eligible participants can access their certificate through their DIKSHA profile page. The certificate may take around 15–20 days to become available.
Step 6: Submit Feedback
Participants can submit their feedback through the feedback form. CIET-NCERT will use the feedback to understand participants’ experiences and improve future virtual training programmes. Submit your feedback using the link: Feedback Form
Participants can earn a DIKSHA certificate
Participants who want a certificate must complete the online courses on the DIKSHA portal. The programme offers five courses that correspond with the five training sessions.
Participants must watch the learning videos and study the available resources. They must also complete the final assessment.
Participants can attempt the final assessment a maximum of three times. They must score 70% or above to become eligible for the certificate.
User Guidelines for DIKSHA Portal
Eligible participants can access their certificates through their DIKSHA profile page. CIET-NCERT states that the certificate may take around 15 to 20 days to become available. The online course will remain open until 31 March 2027.

CIET-NCERT invites feedback from participants
Participants can submit their feedback after completing the training. CIET-NCERT will use the feedback to understand the learning experience and gather suggestions for improving the virtual training process.
Participants can raise issues related to the DIKSHA portal through the Teacher Help facility available on the platform.
