According to the circular issued under Circular No. Acad-89/2025, CBSE has instructed all affiliated schools to celebrate Constitution Day on 26 November 2025.

The day marks the adoption of the Constitution of India and highlights its values, principles, and spirit. Schools have been asked to organise activities that help students understand the importance of the Constitution in everyday life.
Why must schools read the Preamble on 26 November?
CBSE has clearly stated that schools must conduct the reading of the Preamble during the morning assembly on 26 November 2025. Students, teachers, and school leaders should participate together in this symbolic activity. CBSE has also suggested that schools may use platforms like constitution75.com and MyGov.in to read the Preamble in 22 Indian languages.
Parents may also join the Preamble reading at 11:00 a.m. on the same day.
What other activities can schools conduct for Constitution Day?
CBSE has encouraged schools to organise engaging learning activities such as talks, seminars, quiz competitions, essay writing, and painting contests.
Students can also take part in the Online Quiz on Constitutional Democracy available on MyGov.in. For better guidance, CBSE has provided a write-up in Annexure-1, attached with the official circular.
How should schools submit participation details?
CBSE has instructed schools to upload participation evidence including photographs, videos, and certificates generated after reading the Preamble and finishing the quiz. Schools must upload these details on the link shared by CBSE: https://forms.gle/nw89ozcPveuuSYk98
