Why must schools read the Preamble on 26 November?

CBSE has clearly stated that schools must conduct the reading of the Preamble during the morning assembly on 26 November 2025. Students, teachers, and school leaders should participate together in this symbolic activity. CBSE has also suggested that schools may use platforms like constitution75.com and MyGov.in to read the Preamble in 22 Indian languages.

Parents may also join the Preamble reading at 11:00 a.m. on the same day.

CBSE has encouraged schools to organise engaging learning activities such as talks, seminars, quiz competitions, essay writing, and painting contests.
