CBSE Class 12th Result 2025 Declared: 88.39% Students Pass, No Merit List Released
New Delhi – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class 12 Board Exam Result 2025. This year, 88.39% of students have passed the examination. Students can now check their final scores on the official websites: cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in.
In addition to the websites, CBSE has also made the result available through the DigiLocker app, UMANG app, and SMS services, ensuring multiple access options for students.
Students to Collect Original Marksheets from Schools
Students can check their online marksheets, but these are considered temporary. For official and future academic use, they must collect their original marksheets from their respective schools. Most schools will update students about mark sheet availability in the coming days.
How to Check CBSE 12th Result 2025 Online?
- Visit the official website: cbse.gov.in
- Click on the “Class 12th Result 2025” link on the homepage
- Enter your credentials (Roll number, School number, etc.)
- Click on the Submit button
- Your scorecard will appear on the screen
- Download and save it for future reference

Important Notes
Access PIN: A unique 6-digit Access PIN is required to retrieve documents from DigiLocker. This PIN is provided by your respective school. Ensure you collect it before attempting to access your digital documents.
Validity: The digital marksheet obtained through DigiLocker or UMANG is an official and valid document, equivalent to the physical copy provided by CBSE.

Over 42 Lakh Students Appeared for CBSE 10th and 12th Exams
The Class 12 board exams were conducted from 15 February to 4 April 2025, with 17.88 lakh students appearing for the examination. When combined with Class 10, over 42 lakh students participated in the CBSE Board Exams this year.
No Merit List or Toppers Will Be Announced
CBSE has confirmed that it will not release any merit list for this year’s results. The board has also instructed schools and educational institutions not to declare any student as a school or district topper, maintaining its policy to reduce unhealthy academic competition.
