The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced that the board examinations for both Class X and XII in 2025 will commence on February 15, 2025. Schools were previously requested to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) for these classes, which has enabled CBSE to prepare an effective date sheet well in advance.
What Considerations Were Made While Preparing the CBSE Date Sheet?
1. Student Convenience: A significant gap has been provided between two subjects commonly taken by a student in both classes to ensure adequate preparation time.
2. Entrance Exams: The scheduling also considers the dates for entrance exams for Class XII students, allowing them to manage their time effectively between board preparations and entrance tests.
3. Teacher Availability: The date sheet ensures that not all subject teachers are away from school at the same time during evaluations, minimizing disruptions.
4. No Overlapping Exams: Care was taken to avoid over 40,000 subject combinations that could result in two exams falling on the same day for any student.
5. Examination Start Time: All exams will start at 10:30 AM IST, maintaining consistency across the board.
For the first time, the date sheets have been issued nearly 86 days before the examinations begin, compared to last year’s schedule released just 63 days in advance. This improvement was possible due to the timely submission of the LOC by schools.
