CBSE–NCB MoU Signing Ceremony and Awareness Programon Prevention of Substance Abuse

New Delhi, August 21, 2025 — The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a major step to curb substance abuse among students by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Ministry of Home Affairs.

The MoU signing ceremony will take place on 3rd September 2025 at the CBSE Headquarters, Dwarka, New Delhi. The collaboration aims to create drug-free school environments by jointly organizing awareness campaigns, workshops, and counseling sessions for school leaders, educators, and students.

According to CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta (IAS), the initiative highlights the crucial role of schools in providing safe and supportive learning spaces. By raising awareness and building stronger prevention strategies, the program will help students adopt healthy and responsible lifestyle choices.

  • Date & Time: 3rd September 2025, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Reporting Time: 9:30 AM)
  • Venue: CBSE Integrated Office Complex, Sector-23, Phase-1, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110077
  • Registration: Click Here (First-come, first-served basis)
  • Fee: No registration fee. Travel and accommodation to be borne by participants.

The Awareness Program, to be held after the signing ceremony, will focus on preventing substance abuse through capacity building of principals and counselors, equipping them with practical tools to support students and foster drug-free communities.
