CBSE Invites Teachers and Parents to Join Webinar on “Psychological First Aid” for Promoting Student Mental Wellbeing

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a special webinar on “Psychological First Aid: A Multidimensional Framework for Promoting Mental Well-Being in Educational Settings” scheduled for 19 November 2025 (Wednesday) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This initiative aims to equip teachers, counselors, and school leaders with essential psychological skills to handle distress, anxiety, and behavioral challenges among students.
The session will highlight practical strategies to offer immediate, compassionate support to learners facing emotional or social difficulties.

What Will the Webinar Cover?

The training will emphasize a structured approach through the LOOK–LISTEN–LINK framework, enabling educators to recognize, assess, and respond effectively to students in distress.
Participants will also explore real-life case studies that demonstrate how to act during crises such as panic, aggression, or disobedience with calmness and empathy.

The key speaker for this session is Prof. (Dr.) Daya Pant (Retd.), Former Head, Department of Educational Psychology and Foundations of Education, NCERT, who brings decades of expertise in child psychology and educational well-being.
