IIIT Opens Professional and Part-Time MTech Admissions for 2025: Check Deadlines
The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) has announced the admission schedule for Professional and Part-Time MTech courses in various disciplines, including Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Cyber-Physical Systems. Candidates interested in these specialised programs must submit their applications by 9 July 2025.
Eligible candidates who wish to pursue higher qualifications alongside their regular work must ensure they meet the institute’s academic requirements. Applicants should have a minimum of 60 percent marks or a 6.0 CGPA in their qualifying examination. It is mandatory for candidates to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of application.

The last date for submission of the hard copy of the application is 16 July 2025. Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted on 23 and 24 July, and the final results will be declared on 25 July. Selected candidates will get admission to disciplines including Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cyber-Physical Systems, with approximately 20 to 25 seats allocated in each stream.
Students enrolled in the part-time postgraduate program must fulfil all course work requirements and earn the prescribed credits as per the institute’s scheme. It is mandatory for students to select at least two courses every semester and attend at least two weeks of on-campus classes each semester. Regular contact with the designated faculty advisor is also required throughout the program duration.

IIIT has clarified that no financial assistance or teaching assistantship will be provided to students enrolled in these Professional and Part-Time MTech programs.
