After Scooters, Now Laptops – A Big Gift for Students
The Madhya Pradesh government is continuously introducing new schemes to support meritorious students. Recently, the state provided 7,900 talented students with e-scooters to help them commute for higher education. Now, the government is offering ₹25,000 in financial assistance for purchasing laptops. Under this scheme, students who scored 75% or more in their Class 12 exams will receive the amount directly in their bank accounts.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that laptops will play a crucial role in the intellectual development of students, enabling them to access digital learning and modern education. The government believes that encouraging and rewarding talented students is its responsibility, and this initiative aims to ensure that students do not face any technological barriers in their higher education.
Funds to Be Transferred on This Date
Under the Free Laptop Yojana, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer ₹224 crore to 89,710 students on February 21. The official event will take place at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration in Bhopal, with School Education and Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh also in attendance.
This scheme is available to students currently enrolled in higher education institutions. The government has assured that the core structure of this scheme will remain unchanged, ensuring that eligible students continue to benefit.
The state government clarified that this initiative is for students who have achieved 75% or higher in the MP Board Class 12 exams for the 2023-24 session. Each student will receive ₹25,000 in their bank account, allowing them to purchase a laptop of their choice.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reaffirmed that the state government is committed to promoting education through various initiatives, ensuring better facilities for students. He also stated that the government’s welfare schemes will continue without any modifications, ensuring long-term support for students.
