NCERT-CIET 5-Day Online Training for Teachers on Inclusive Education of Children with Hearing Impairment – Read Details
The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT, in collaboration with the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysore, is organizing a five-day online training course titled “Including Children with Hearing Impairment in the Mainstream School Education.”
The program will run from 22nd to 26th September 2025, coinciding with the International Week of the Deaf. Sessions will be conducted daily from 12:40 PM to 1:40 PM.
Purpose of the NCERT Online Training for Teachers on Inclusive Education
Inclusive education is central to ensuring equal learning opportunities for all children. Despite existing policies, children with hearing impairments (CwHI) often face barriers in communication, classroom engagement, and curriculum accessibility.
This free teacher course aims to sensitize and empower educators with knowledge, skills, and strategies to create supportive and inclusive learning environments.

This course is specifically designed for teachers, teacher educators, inclusive education coordinators, school administrators, and pre-service teachers.
It aims to strengthen their understanding of hearing impairments, equip them with inclusive teaching strategies, and empower them to create barrier-free and supportive learning environments for all children.
