Punjab Board Class 8 Result 2025 is Here! Step-by-Step Guide to Check Your Scores
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has officially declared the Class 8 result for the academic year 2024-25. The much-awaited results were released today, April 4, 2025, and are now available on the official website – pseb.ac.in. Students who appeared for the Class 8 examination can check their scores by using their roll number, name, registered mobile number, or email ID.
More than 2.9 lakh students had appeared for the Class 8 exams this year. The examinations were held from February 19 to March 7, 2025. Out of 2,90,471 students, as many as 2,82,627 students passed, bringing the overall pass percentage to 97.30%. This shows a slight dip compared to last year’s 98.31%.
Official PSEB Portal Activated- Final Report Cards to Be Collected from Schools
Students can log in to the official PSEB portal and download their digital scorecards. While this online mark sheet is useful for reference, the official printed result card will be available at the respective schools. Schools will provide the final document soon after the announcement.
To check the result online, students should keep their admit cards ready. They will need the roll number, name, mobile number, or email ID used during registration to access the result.

Checking the PSEB Class 8 result is simple and quick. Students can follow these steps:

PSEB follows a simple and clear grading system. Here’s how marks translate into grades:

C : 40% to 50%

D : 33% to 40%

E : Below 33%
Any student receiving an ‘E’ grade will be considered failed and may need to appear for supplementary exams.

This year, Amritsar emerged as the best-performing district in Punjab with a whopping 98.85% pass percentage. It is followed closely by other top districts like:

A Slight Drop in Overall Pass Percentage
Though the performance this year was commendable, there was a slight drop in the pass percentage compared to last year. In 2024, the overall pass rate was 98.31%. This year, it came down to 97.30%. The dip, however, is minimal and still reflects a strong result outcome across the state.
Supplementary Exams in June
For students who could not clear the exam this time, there’s no need to panic. The board has announced that supplementary exams will be held in June 2025. Detailed dates and instructions for the same will be issued soon on the official website.
