CBSE Board has issued a notice related to the online portal for availing facilities by Children With Special Needs (CWSN) students which all students and teachers should know about. This blog post will tell you the complete details about this circular. That is why all teachers and students should read this blog post till the end and share it with their friends or students.
CBSE Opens Online Portal for CWSN Facilities
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched an online portal to help CWSN students of Class 10 and 12 avail facilities and exemptions during the 2026 board examinations. This portal is available along with the List of Candidates (LOC) and has been activated as per the LOC notification dated 27 August 2025.
Why Has CBSE Issued This Circular?
CBSE has noted that many schools and students are still not fully aware of the exemptions and facilities available to CWSN students. At times, schools have not followed the correct procedure to seek facilities, which creates inconvenience during examinations. To address this, the Board has created a dedicated CWSN management system that clearly lists all available concessions.
How Can Schools Use the CWSN Portal?
- Schools must log in to the Pariksha Sangam portal with their credentials.
- In the CWSN module, the list of students marked as CWSN in LOC will be visible.
- Schools need to select the facilities students wish to avail such as extra time, scribe/reader, computer or laptop (without internet), or basic calculator.
- These selected facilities will automatically reflect in the student’s admit card.
- Examination centres can then make proper arrangements so that students face no difficulty.
What Is the Timeline for the CWSN Portal?
The portal will remain open from 9 September 2025 (Tuesday) to 22 September 2025 (Monday). CBSE has made it clear that no requests will be accepted after this period or in offline mode. Hence, schools must complete the process within the given schedule.
What Facilities Are Available for CWSN Students?
According to the circular, facilities include:
- Extra time during examinations.
- Scribe or reader for writing support.
- Use of computer or laptop (without internet).
- Permission to use basic calculators for registered CWSN candidates.
What Are Schools Directed to Do?
- Mark candidates correctly as CWSN in the LOC and mention their disability.
- Upload all required documents carefully on the portal.
- Follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) annexed with the circular.
- Complete the process with due diligence within the given timeframe.
