The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will run a five-day YouTube Live series titled “Empowering Students with AI” from 27 to 31 October 2025, aiming to introduce students to practical and ethical uses of artificial intelligence in learning.
The daily hour-long sessions (09:00–10:00 AM) will be livestreamed on NCERT’s official YouTube channel and simulcast on PM eVidya DTH channels and the Jio TV app.
What the programme offers
The series will explain core AI concepts in simple, classroom-ready language and demonstrate how AI tools are used in education, creative projects, and problem-solving.
Sessions are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), and are designed to develop students’ critical thinking, digital awareness, and ethical judgment while showing practical classroom applications.
Speakers and daily topics
Each session features experienced school educators and AI practitioners:
- 27 Oct (Day 1): Intro to AI and Data Mining — Mrs. Vineeta Garg, PGT Computer Science, SRDAV Public School.

What this means for students and schools
NCERT’s live series gives students a straightforward, no-cost way to learn what AI is and how it’s used in schools and everyday life. Each day covers a specific, easy-to-follow topic taught by experienced teachers. Schools and students can watch live or later via recordings.
Those who complete the extra DIKSHA course and pass the assessment can earn an official NCERT/DIKSHA certificate, which may help document learning for school records or future study. The series also stresses safe and fair use of AI, helping learners understand risks like data privacy and biased outputs.
Practical implications and reach
The series supports NEP 2020 goals by building digital literacy and preparedness among students. Broadcasting on multiple channels (YouTube, DTH, Jio TV) increases access for learners with limited internet, helping wider participation.
The certification path encourages continued learning beyond the live sessions.
