A National Engagement Drive for Students

CBSE stated that the period from January 12 (National Youth Day) to January 23 (Parakram Diwas) will be observed as a special engagement window in schools. During this time, institutions are encouraged to organise a range of activities that allow students to express themselves, manage exam stress, and connect learning with real-life skills.

The programme will begin with the Swadeshi Sankalp Daud, a student run or walk for self-reliance, and conclude with a quiz and writing competition on January 23, to be organised at designated Kendriya Vidyalayas or Navodaya Vidyalayas at the district level.

Outstanding student participants may be recognised through NCERT’s special e-modules on nation-building initiatives, which are available in the public domain.

Reporting and Participation

Schools are required to encourage maximum student participation and submit a consolidated report of activities after completion through the official online form shared by CBSE. Photographs and brief descriptions of activities may also be uploaded and shared on social media using suggested hashtags to build wider awareness around PPC 2026.

Why This Matters

With record registrations already reported on the MyGov portal, CBSE’s latest circular reinforces the idea that exam preparation should go beyond textbooks. By combining fitness, creativity, dialogue, and emotional support, the PPC 2026 initiative seeks to create a healthier and more confident examination culture for students across India.
