Registration Open for the online training programme “Cyber Security in the Age of AI” being organized by the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT, Government of India (GoI)
Artificial Intelligence enabled systems are now deeply embedded in digital platforms used across education governance communication data processing and content creation.
As AI increasingly influences how information is generated stored and shared concerns related to data security privacy digital identity and misuse of intelligent systems have become more prominent.
The growing dependence on AI based tools has expanded the scope of cyber risks including unauthorized data access misinformation AI assisted fraud and ethical challenges in automated decision making.
For educators institutions and learners understanding these risks is no longer optional but an essential part of digital literacy.
In this context the Central Institute of Educational Technology CIET NCERT under the Ministry of Education Government of India is organizing a five day online training programme titled Cyber Security in the Age of AI.
This programme is designed to strengthen understanding of safe, ethical, and responsible use of AI in digital and educational environments.

Why This Training Matters
AI systems work using large-scale data collection, automated decision-making, and algorithm-based processing.
Because of this, they can be exposed to risks such as:
- Unauthorized data access
- Privacy violations
- Algorithmic bias
- Automated cyber attacks
- Deepfake manipulation
- AI-assisted fraud and misinformation
With the increasing use of generative AI tools and intelligent platforms, cyber security has become a serious concern not only for individuals but also for educational institutions.
Teachers, administrators, and learners are now highly dependent on AI-based digital platforms for teaching, learning, assessment, and communication.
However, limited awareness about how AI works and how cyber risks emerge can expose users to identity misuse, misinformation, and data compromise.
This training focuses on building digital awareness, responsibility, and safe practices in the AI-driven world.
Objectives of the Training
By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:
- Understand basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence and their relevance to cyber security
- Identify emerging AI-enabled cyber threats in educational settings
- Understand ethical, legal, and data privacy challenges related to AI systems
- Promote safe, responsible, and informed use of AI tools among learners and staff
- Support institutions in strengthening cyber security practices in AI-enabled environments
Alignment with NEP 2020
