The United Nations declared this day in 2014 to highlight the global importance of Yoga and its role in promoting health and well-being, and since 2015, people across the world have observed this day to spread awareness and build interest in Yoga.
Who can participate in this contest?
The contest is open to Indian nationals only, and each participant can submit one entry through the MyGov portal. The organisers do not allow employees of the Ministry of AYUSH, event organisers, and their immediate family members to participate.
What are the theme submission guidelines?
Participants must submit their theme in English or Hindi, and the theme must remain short and impactful with a limit of 3 to 10 words. Participants must ensure originality and avoid plagiarism, and they must not include any objectionable or inappropriate content.
Along with the theme, participants must write a brief justification of 100 to 150 words explaining its relevance to Yoga and current national or global priorities. Participants must also keep their MyGov profile complete and updated with accurate personal details.
How will entries be evaluated?
A selection committee will evaluate entries based on their relevance to Yoga philosophy and practice, alignment with national and global well-being priorities, originality and creativity, and overall clarity and impact of the theme.
What reward will the winner receive?
The winner will receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of AYUSH, which recognises their contribution to the national celebration of Yoga.
What important rules should participants follow?
Participants must submit original entries that do not violate copyright laws or infringe on others’ intellectual property, as any such entry will face disqualification.
The Ministry of AYUSH will hold full copyright ownership of the selected theme after submission, and the organisers reserve the right to reject any unsuitable entry or modify or cancel the contest at any stage.
Participants must submit their entries before the deadline, as late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted, and all disputes related to the contest will fall under the jurisdiction of Delhi. Participants must agree to follow all rules and conditions governed by Indian laws.
