CBSE has introduced new NISHTHA courses for teachers and school heads while adding access to over 845 curriculum-aligned virtual labs through DIKSHA.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the first cycle of NISHTHA courses for the 2026–27 academic year. The courses will support the professional development of teachers and school heads.
The CIET NCERT will conduct these online courses under NISHTHA Category II and NISHTHA Category III during Cycle 1 from April to October 2026.

The courses will help teachers and school heads strengthen their professional skills and improve teaching and learning practices.
NISHTHA Courses Available in Cycle 1
The Board has listed seven courses under the two categories. The courses cover foundational learning and several advanced topics.
NISHTHA Category II Courses
The Category II courses target school heads and teachers of the Foundational and Preparatory Stages up to Grade 5.

The enrolment closing date for these courses is 31 August 2026. The course closing date is 15 September 2026.
NISHTHA Category III Courses
Category III offers five courses for all school heads and teachers.
