CBSE has introduced a new digital post result system for Class 12 students. The Board will now provide scanned answer books and online re-evaluation facilities through a two-stage process.
CBSE has released an important notice for Class 12 students regarding post result facilities for the 2025-26 board examinations. The Board has introduced several important updates related to scanned answer books, verification of marks, and re-evaluation process. This update will help students understand how they can check their evaluated answer sheets and apply for corrections if needed.
CBSE has introduced the On Screen Marking system for Class 12 answer book evaluation. Under this digital process, teachers evaluate scanned answer sheets on computers instead of physical copies. CBSE said this system improves transparency, reduces manual errors, saves time, and strengthens secrecy during evaluation.
The Board has also introduced a two-stage post-result facility for students.
In Stage 1, students can apply for scanned copies of their evaluated answer books. After checking the scanned copy, students can move to Stage 2 if they find any issue in evaluation.
In Stage 2, students can apply for verification of issues observed in the answer book and also request re-evaluation of specific answers.
CBSE has clearly stated that only students who apply for scanned answer books will become eligible for re-evaluation later.
Important Dates and Fees Announced by CBSE
| Facility | Dates | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Scanned Copy of Answer Book | 19 May to 22 May 2026 | Rs 700 per subject |
| Verification of Issues | 26 May to 29 May 2026 | Rs 500 per answer book |
| Re-Evaluation | 26 May to 29 May 2026 | Rs 100 per question |
CBSE will accept applications only through online mode. Students must complete the application process before the deadline because the Board will not accept late or offline applications.
The Board will provide scanned answer books in the student login account on a first-come, first-served basis.
CBSE also advised students to compare their answers with the official marking scheme before applying for re-evaluation. Students must clearly mention unchecked answers or marking issues while submitting requests.
The Board clarified that marks may increase or decrease after re-evaluation. Even a one-mark reduction will apply officially. If marks change after re-evaluation, students must surrender the old marksheet and collect a revised certificate from CBSE.

CBSE further informed students that they can request photocopies of answer books under the RTI Act 2005, but they cannot request re-evaluation or grievance redressal through RTI.
