CBSE Extends Class 12 Re-Evaluation Application Deadline After Portal Problems

CBSE has given students extra time to apply for re-evaluation after technical problems on the portal. The board has also reduced the scanned copy fee to make the process easier and cheaper.

CBSE has extended the last date for Class 12 re-evaluation applications after many students faced technical problems on the board’s post-result portal. Students reported issues while applying for re-evaluation scanned copies and marks verification after the Class 12 results.

The board has now allowed students to apply until 23 May. Earlier the deadline was 22 May. CBSE took the decision after several students complained about portal crashes and other technical glitches during the application process.

The issue comes amid ongoing discussions over the new OSM evaluation system used in Class 12 board exams this year. Many students and parents had already raised concerns about copy checking and result related processes.

CBSE Reduces Fee for Viewing Scanned Copies

CBSE has also made an important change for students who want to view their evaluated answer sheets. Students will now be able to access scanned copies of their answer sheets from 26 May to 29 May.

The board has reduced the fee for viewing scanned copies. Earlier students had to pay Rs 700. Now they can access scanned copies by paying only Rs 100.

How Students Can Apply for Re-Evaluation

Students need to visit the official CBSE website and open the Post Result Services section. After logging in with their roll number and other details they can choose options like scanned copy marks verification or re-evaluation.

Students must then select the subject fill in the required information and pay the fee online. CBSE will send confirmation details through SMS after the application process is completed.

CBSE Shares Fresh Update on Re-Evaluation Portal

The online application portal for obtaining scanned copies of Class XII answer books is now functioning smoothly, and applications are being submitted successfully.

1,27,146 applications for obtaining 3,87,399 scanned answer books were submitted successfully by 7:30 pm on 20.05.26, that is, within 3 hours of the portal being opened. Students may continue to avail the facility through the link: https://pvr.cbseit.in/pvr/

How to Apply for Scanned Answer Books

  • Students must apply themselves to get scanned copies of their evaluated answer books. CBSE will upload the scanned copy in the student’s login account. Students can then download it from there.
  • CBSE will provide scanned copies on a first come first served basis. Students who apply earlier will receive their scanned copies earlier.
  • Students can apply for one subject or multiple subjects together. However they must submit the application only once and not in parts.

If students are not satisfied with the marks after checking the scanned copy they can apply for re-evaluation in the next step.

How to Apply for CBSE Re-Evaluation and Verification

Only students who apply for scanned copies of answer books can apply for verification or re-evaluation later.

  • Students should check the official marking scheme and question paper available on the CBSE website before applying.
  • CBSE will upload the status of every request in the student’s login account.
  • The board also said marks can increase or decrease after re-evaluation. Even a one mark reduction will be updated in the final result.
  • CBSE said the result after re-evaluation will be final. Students cannot request another review or appeal after that.
