CBSE Invites Teachers and Students for Free Online CPD Training on Computational Thinking and AI – Registration Open

CBSE 3030 Eklavya online training programme on Computational Thinking AI and STEM for teachers and students

CBSE invites teachers and students for the 3030 Eklavya online series on AI, Computational Thinking and STEM. Registration is free and compulsory.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the 3030 Eklavya Online Series on Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence. The 3030 Eklavya series will also cover STEM.

CBSE will organise the programme with the Centre for Creative Learning at IIT Gandhinagar. The first episode will be held on 15 August 2026 at 4 PM.

The 3030 Eklavya training programme aims to help learners understand Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence through practical and conceptual learning. It will use inquiry based activities to develop critical thinking and creative problem solving skills.

Programme to Focus on Computational Thinking AI and STEM

CBSE has already released the Curriculum Framework for Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence for Classes 3 to 8. The framework aims to prepare students to become AI ready.

The curriculum focuses on logical thinking. It also develops problem solving skills and pattern recognition. Students will also learn about the role and use of Artificial Intelligence in daily life.

CBSE has also selected Computational Thinking and Understanding Artificial Intelligence as a training theme for the academic session 2026 to 2027.

More Than 450 District Level Deliberations Planned

CBSE has planned more than 450 District Level Deliberations across the country. Schools will support these activities along with District Training Coordinators and the Board’s Centres of Excellence.

The 3030 Eklavya Online Series will take this initiative further through online learning sessions.

Teachers and Students of Class 6 and Above Can Join

The programme is open to teachers and students of Class 6 and above. Participation in the programme is voluntary. Registration is free but compulsory for those who want to take part.

Students and teachers can register and get programme details through the official programme website at eklavya.iitgandhinagar.ac.in.

Eight Sessions Will Be Conducted

The training programme will include a total of eight sessions. The first episode will focus on Computational Thinking and AI with Matchboxes. It will take place on Saturday 15 August 2026 at 4 PM. The remaining episodes will be held live every Sunday from 4 PM onwards.

Teachers Can Earn CPD Training Hours

Teachers from CBSE affiliated schools can receive 3 CPD training hours for each episode under school based training.

The benefit will apply when the teacher earns the certificate and their name appears in the CCL IIT Gandhinagar database.

Live Episodes Will Be in Hindi

The live episodes will be conducted in Hindi. English subtitles will be available when the episodes are published.

Certificates Will Be Available

Participants can receive a participation certificate after completing the required homework or assignment submission.

The participation certificate for all eight episodes will cost Rs 200 plus taxes for teachers and students.

The programme will also offer a certificate of competency for the complete eight session course. It will cost Rs 200 plus taxes. The certificate will be issued to teachers who fulfil the prescribed norms.
