Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camps 2025: CBSE Launches Multilingual Learning Drive for Students During Summer Break

CBSE Circular No. Acad-28/2025, Dated: 17 May 2025 – CBSE announces Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camps 2025 to boost multilingual skills in students through fun activities and language-based learning.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a new circular encouraging all its affiliated schools to conduct Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camps (BBSC) during the upcoming summer vacation. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which strongly promotes multilingualism and aims to introduce students to India’s rich linguistic diversity.

What Are Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camps?

According to the circular, the summer camps will help children engage with Indian languages in an enjoyable, interactive, and practical format. These camps are designed to build basic communication skills, promote cultural understanding, and strengthen vocabulary through activities such as:

Each school is expected to host at least 75 to 100 students, and the camp will span 28 hours, conducted in offline (physical) mode. Schools have the flexibility to choose the timing based on their local schedule and academic calendar.

The programme will be coordinated at various levels:

NCERT will also provide resource materials and guidelines to support the learning modules of the camp.
