This year, approximately 46 lakh students will sit for the Board Examinations. These students will appear at more than 8074 examination centers.

The Board schedules the 2026 exams from 17th February to 10th April. Such a large operation requires foolproof planning. CBSE officials want to ensure successful execution at every evaluation center. Therefore, they must communicate amended policies to all staff members involved.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to once again start On-Screen Marking (OSM) for Class 12. OSM is a digital system in which scanned answer sheets are evaluated by teachers on computers, with marks calculated automatically by software.
