The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced new guidelines for the Class 10 and 12 board exams, which will begin on February 15, 2025. The Class 10 exams will end on March 18, while the Class 12 exams will conclude on April 4, 2025. These guidelines focus on maintaining discipline and preventing any form of misconduct during the exams.
CBSE has introduced stricter Unfair Means (UFM) rules to ensure that students follow ethical practices during the exams. Any student found violating these rules may face serious penalties, including a ban from appearing in board exams for up to two years. This step has been taken to maintain the integrity of the examination process and discourage any unfair activities.
Students are strictly prohibited from carrying mobile phones, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices inside the examination hall. If a student is caught with any of these prohibited items, they could face cancellation of their ongoing exam or even disqualification from the next year’s board exams. CBSE has made it clear that any violation of these rules will not be tolerated.
To ensure that students are fully aware of these new guidelines, CBSE has directed schools to educate them about the revised rules and their consequences. Schools will play an important role in informing students about what is allowed and what is not. This initiative aims to ensure that all students understand the importance of following the examination rules strictly.
This year, CBSE will conduct exams for 204 subjects, covering more than 44 lakh students across India. The board is taking strict measures to promote fairness and prevent any malpractice. These efforts are focused on maintaining the credibility of CBSE board exams and ensuring that every student gets an equal opportunity to perform based on their abilities.
Students are urged to carefully read and follow all guidelines to avoid any penalties. Adhering to the rules will help them have a smooth examination experience. CBSE’s strict actions highlight the importance of honesty and discipline, encouraging students to focus on their studies and give their best in the exams.
