What is the INSPIRE-MANAK Scheme 2025-26?
The INSPIRE-MANAK Scheme is a flagship programme of the Government of India, jointly implemented by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) and the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) – India, an autonomous institute of DST.
The scheme is designed to foster creativity and innovative thinking among school children. Its mission is to scout one million original ideas and innovations rooted in science from students in Classes 6 to 12.
Every year, student submissions are evaluated for their ingenuity, novelty, and societal impact. The selection process happens at the district, state, and national levels, and the top 60 ideas are chosen for recognition.
How can schools submit nominations?
The online nominations for 2025-26 have already started. Eligible schools can submit a maximum of five original ideas/innovations from their students through the MANAK E-MIAS web portal https://www.inspireawards-dst.gov.in/ or the Mobile App.
The last date for submitting entries is 15 September 2025.
Within the limit of five nominations, schools can nominate a maximum of two student ideas from Classes 11 or 12 (Science stream only).
