New Delhi, September 3 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the CBSE Science Exhibition 2025-26. The exhibition aims to encourage students to develop curiosity, creativity, and a scientific approach by connecting ideas with real-life concepts.
The exhibition will take place in two stages – Regional Level and National Level – between October 2025 and January 2026.
Theme and Sub-Themes
The theme for this year’s exhibition is “STEM for Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
The sub-themes include:

Registration Details
- Schools must register online between 3rd September 2025 and 26th September 2025 through the CBSE website cbse.gov.in.
- The registration fee is ₹3000 per school, payable through the online gateway.
- A school can register a maximum of two teams.
- Each team must include two students (Classes 6–8 for Category I, Classes 9–11 for Category II) and one mentor Science teacher.
- Once registered, the names of students, mentor, project title, and sub-theme cannot be changed.
Project Guidelines
Projects may be based on investigation, application of scientific principles, or innovative solutions to real problems. Students must use eco-friendly materials. Each team will receive a unique login credential to submit project details on the portal.
Evaluation Criteria
Projects will be judged by experts on:

The decision of the judges will be final.
Exhibition Stages
- Regional Round: To be held at different venues across the country. Details will be shared with schools by email and on the CBSE Academic website.
- International Schools: Regional rounds for foreign schools will be held online. Winning teams will join the National Round in India at their own expense.
- National Round: Around 14 of the best exhibits from each region will qualify. Final winners will be recognised and awarded.

Selected winners of the CBSE National Science Exhibition 2025-26 may also get entries in:
- Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani 2026 (NCERT)
- IRIS Science Fair 2025-26 (subject to selection)
Schools will bear all expenses related to travel, lodging, and participation.
