CBSE Reminds Affiliated Schools to Ensure Compliance with Mandatory Public Disclosure Norms
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a fresh reminder to all its affiliated schools, urging them to urgently upload and regularly update complete teachers’ details on their official websites.
In a circular dated January 12, 2026, the Board expressed concern that many schools are still failing to comply with long-standing transparency rules, despite repeated instructions over the past few years.
Why CBSE Issued This Reminder
According to the Board, every school seeking or holding CBSE affiliation must maintain a functional and updated website. This website should clearly display essential information, especially teachers’ names, qualifications, and valid documents, as part of the Mandatory Public Disclosure (MPD).
However, CBSE noted that in many cases:
- Teacher qualification details are missing
- Information is outdated or incorrect
- Invalid or incomplete documents are uploaded
Such lapses, the Board said, directly affect parents’ ability to assess the academic strength of a school.
