CBSE introduces a Principal Dashboard to track teacher login and mock evaluation practice on OSM portal ahead of Board Exams 2026. Read Full details here
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a new digital dashboard to help school principals monitor and support teachers during the evaluation process. The move aims to ensure that all teachers complete their mock evaluation sessions on time and prepare effectively for the board’s digital assessment system.
This step comes as CBSE strengthens its Online Scanning and Marking (OSM) system. The board wants to make the evaluation process smoother, faster, and more reliable. Principals will now play a direct role in tracking teacher participation and correcting data issues through the new dashboard.
CBSE Gives Principals Real-Time Dashboard to Monitor Teacher Evaluation Progress
CBSE issued the official circular on 21 February 2026. It informed all affiliated schools that principals and Heads of Schools (HoS) must use the new OSM dashboard to monitor teacher logins and practice evaluation sessions.
The board has already sent login credentials to teachers through registered email IDs and mobile numbers. However, some teachers could not access their accounts because of incorrect contact details. The dashboard now allows principals to correct those details and ensure smooth access.
This system also helps principals identify teachers who have not started or completed their practice sessions. As a result, schools can provide guidance and ensure full readiness before the actual evaluation begins.
What is the CBSE OSM dashboard and why was it introduced?
The OSM dashboard is a digital platform created specifically for school principals and Heads of Schools.
It helps them monitor whether teachers have logged in, completed practice sessions, or still need support. It also allows principals to update teacher contact details in the OASIS system.
CBSE designed this tool to improve communication, reduce delays, and ensure that teachers are fully prepared for digital evaluation.
What can principals see and monitor on the dashboard?
The dashboard provides detailed information about teacher participation and evaluation readiness.
| Dashboard Feature | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Total evaluators | Number of teachers assigned for evaluation |
| Login status | Teachers who have logged in or not |
| Practice session status | Teachers who completed or missed mock evaluation |
| Answer book evaluation | Number of copies evaluated during practice |
| Pending teachers | Teachers yet to begin the process |
How does the dashboard help correct teacher login and contact issues?
Many teachers faced login problems due to incorrect email IDs or mobile numbers. CBSE has now given principals the authority to update these details directly through the dashboard.
| Issue | Solution Provided by Dashboard |
|---|---|
| Incorrect email ID | Principals can update email in OASIS |
| Wrong mobile number | Principals can correct mobile details |
| Login credentials not received | System resends credentials after update |
| OTP delivery issues | OTP sent to updated mobile number |
According to the circular, new login credentials are automatically sent within six hours after updating the details.
Why must teachers complete practice sessions under the OSM system?
CBSE has made practice sessions compulsory for teachers evaluating Classes XI and XII answer sheets.
These sessions help teachers understand the digital marking process and ensure accuracy. It also prepares them for the main evaluation.
The board has instructed principals to monitor these sessions regularly and ensure that all teachers complete them on time.
