According to the circular, CBSE will organise the Skill Expo & Guidance Festival in multiple cities across the country, culminating in a final national-level event. Students will get a chance to showcase their vocational skills, creativity and innovative ideas through projects aligned with various contemporary themes. The event also bridges the gap between theoretical learning and real-world applications.

Key themes include Technology & Innovation, Environment & Sustainability, Health & Wellness, Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy, Tourism & Hospitality, Agriculture & Rural Development, and Media, Design & Communication.
How Can Schools and Students Participate?
Schools must register through the official link provided. Eligibility is divided into two categories: Classes 6–10 and Classes 11–12. Each team should include a teacher, two students and a mentor teacher. Schools can register up to three teams, with each team working on projects based on the specified themes. Shortlisted projects from the regional events will move on to the national level.
Guidelines clearly state that team compositions and themes cannot be changed once submitted, and participation must continue consistently from the regional to the national stage.
What are the Assessment Criteria?
Projects will be judged on creativity, originality, scientific approach, technical skills, entrepreneurship, economic aspects, portability and presentation.

What is the Guidance Festival 2025-26?
In parallel, the Guidance Festival will help students understand future career options and the importance of early planning. Schools can nominate five students and two teachers for this event. Participation certificates will be awarded, and students will benefit from webinars and skill-development sessions.

The Skill Expo and Guidance Festival will be held across India, covering cities such as Vadodara, Mangaluru, Gwalior, Raipur, Ludhiana, Madurai, Rudrapur, Ghaziabad, Jorhat, Karnal, Ranchi, Prayagraj, Mumbai, Hyderabad and even Dubai. The national-level culmination event will be announced later.
