CBSE has clearly laid out the timeline for effective and uniform implementation of the new multilingual framework under NCF 2023. Every CBSE-affiliated school must:
Form a NCF Implementation Committee by end of May 2025 – This team will be responsible for mapping students’ mother tongues, aligning learning materials, and guiding curriculum changes.
Complete teacher training and curriculum realignment by end of summer break – Training sessions must focus on multilingual classroom practices, language-sensitive assessments, and usage of appropriate learning materials.
Begin actual classroom implementation from July 2025 – However, CBSE has allowed some flexibility for schools that need more time to procure resources or adjust staff, provided they do not delay beyond reason.
Submit monthly progress reports starting 5th July 2025 – Schools must update CBSE regularly using a dedicated form link shared in the circular.
