The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a new post-result process for students of Class 10 and Class 12 following the announcement of board exam results on 13 May 2025. The revamped system is designed to offer more transparency and support to students who wish to request a review of their marks.

This blog post explains the step-by-step procedure for applying for photocopies of evaluated answer books, verification of marks, and re-evaluation.
What’s New in CBSE’s Post-Result System 2025?
CBSE now allows students to first obtain a scanned photocopy of their answer sheet before deciding whether to apply for re-verification or re-evaluation. This step gives students more clarity on whether an error may have occurred.
The rechecking window opens four days after the CBSE result declaration. Since results were declared on May 13, the tentative start date for re-verification is May 17, 2025 (Saturday).
Eligible Categories |
1. Class X students who fail in up to 2 subjects and Class XII students who fail in 1 subject (Compartment Category) 2. Students opting to replace 6th/7th subject with the failed subject 3. Students (Class X and XII) who passed but wish to improve performance in 2 (Class X) or 1 (Class XII) subject(s)
