CBSE Result 2025 Class 10 Class 12 Re-evaluation Process Answer Sheet Photocopy Board Exam Guidelines
CBSE changed the process after the result: Now first you will get a copy of the answer sheet, then the decision of re-evaluation will be taken
New Delhi. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a big change in the post-result process for class 10th and 12th students. Now students will first get a photocopy of their evaluated answer sheet, and after that they will decide whether they want to get the marks verification, re-evaluation, or both.
Earlier, students used to directly apply for marks verification, then get a copy of the answer sheet, and finally they used to participate in the re-evaluation process. But now the order of this process has been completely changed.

CBSE has said in its official notice that this change will help students to take more transparent and informed decisions. Students will now be able to check their answer sheet — how many marks they got in which question, which answers did not have any evaluator comment, or there is a mistake somewhere.
Only after looking at all these things, they will be able to decide whether to get verification done, re-evaluation done or both.
What will be the new process?
- First of all, the student will get a photocopy of the evaluated answer book.
- After this, they will be able to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation (or both).
- In verification, if the totaling is checked or any question has not been evaluated, then it will be checked.
- In re-evaluation, students can demand that a particular question be evaluated again.
CBSE has also clarified that the complete schedule, application process, and timeline will be shared only after the result is declared. The board says that this system will give students a more accurate and fair process experience.
When will the result come?
CBSE has not yet announced the date and time of the class 10th and 12th exam results. But it is expected that the result can be declared by the first or second week of May.
Once the result is released, students will be able to check it on these websites: cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, results.gov.in, and digilocker.gov.in. Students can also get their results through the UMANG app and SMS.
This year, the class 10 exams were held from February 15 to March 1, 2025 and the class 12 exams were held from February 15 to April 4, 2025 in one shift (10:30 am to 1:30 pm). Overall, around 42 lakh students have appeared for the board exams this time.
This decision of CBSE is a commendable step in the interest of students. Now students will be able to take an informed decision by first looking at their answer sheet, which will increase both transparency and trust in the evaluation process. This move is not just a governance reform but also an important initiative towards ensuring an academic right for students.
