CBSE Announces Self-Nomination for Teacher Awards 2025 – Deadline 6 July
New Delhi: CBSE Board has issued a notice related to National Awards to Teachers 2024–25 which all school heads and teachers must read carefully. What is the purpose of this circular?
CBSE has released a very important circular regarding inviting self-nominations for the prestigious National Awards to Teachers for the academic year 2024–25. The Ministry of Education confers these awards to celebrate the exceptional contributions of teachers. CBSE has been asked to recommend six nominations from private independent schools affiliated with the board.
Who can apply for the CBSE Teacher Awards 2025?

How to apply for CBSE National Awards?
- Only online applications will be accepted.
- Candidates must apply at: https://cbseit.in/cbse/2025/tchawrd/index.aspx
- The last date to apply is 6 July 2025.
What documents are required to upload?
All applicants must upload the following documents:
- A self-declaration stating all provided information is correct.
- Recommendation and certification letters from the school manager, confirming continuous service and vigilance clearance.
- Verified academic certificates (Class 10/11/12, Graduation, PG, B.Ed., etc.)
- Class results in board or school exams.
What is the selection process for Teacher Awards?
CBSE will prepare a merit list based on various criteria like:
- Experience and age
- Academic qualifications
- Performance in qualifying exams
From this list, the top 24 applicants will be shortlisted.
In case of a tie, CBSE may apply additional criteria. All shortlisted candidates will be required to upload verified PDFs (max 1MB) of documents, duly signed by:
- Head of School (for teachers)
- Manager of School (for Principals)
What is the final round of selection?
- A National Level Scrutiny Committee will invite shortlisted applicants for an interactive session.
- Based on this session, the final 6 nominations will be selected for the national award.
