CBSE Promotes Skill Education through Exposure Visits
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a new initiative under the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes that Skill Education must form an integral part of School and Higher Education.
To strengthen this vision, the Board has planned a series of Exposure Visits for school principals to leading organizations and higher education institutions of eminence across India during November–December 2025.
These visits are aimed at giving school leaders firsthand exposure to innovative institutions, helping them explore future collaborations for integrating Skill (Vocational) Education into mainstream academics and effectively utilizing institutional infrastructure in a time-shift manner.
What is the Objective of CBSE’s Exposure Visit Program?
The main objective of the Exposure Visits is to orient school principals about various skill-based subjects and help them become familiar with innovative models, practices, and learning environments.
Through these visits, CBSE aims to:
- Create interactive learning spaces for school leaders.
- Offer insights into diverse educational ecosystems.
- Build awareness about the latest trends and best practices in Skill and Vocational Education.
This initiative is expected to help schools strengthen their approach toward skill integration and enhance the quality of learning outcomes in students.
Where Will These Exposure Visits Take Place?
The Exposure Visits have been scheduled across different states of India between November and December 2025. The visits will cover renowned institutions in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Haryana, and more.

How Will These Visits Benefit CBSE School Leaders?
The Exposure Visits are designed to create interactive and collaborative learning opportunities for school principals.
By visiting these reputed institutions, principals will:
- Understand how skill-based education can be effectively integrated into school curricula.
- Learn about real-world models and institutional partnerships.
- Gain exposure to vocational learning infrastructure and its practical implementation.
The program is also expected to encourage schools to adopt innovative practices and collaborate with higher education institutions for the holistic development of students.

Guidelines for Participants
- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will reimburse a maximum of ₹10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as TA/DA, or the actual TA/DA amount (whichever is lower), upon submission of certified hard copies of original bills.
This is applicable to both Government School Principals and Principals of Private Independent Schools. - Only those principals who have not attended any previous exposure visit are eligible to register for participation in this program.
- TA/DA reimbursement will be restricted to one exposure visit per principal during an academic year.
- As the number of seats is limited, interested principals are advised to fill the registration form only if they are certain of attending the exposure visit.
Cancellation and Communication
- If a registered participant is unable to attend, they must inform the Board at least one week before the commencement of the visit by sending an email to skedu-77@cbseshiksha.in
This will allow the slot to be offered to another eligible participant. - Email confirmations will be sent to selected participants well in advance.
Only those who receive the confirmation email will be permitted to attend the exposure visit.
Submission of TA/DA Bills
- After completion of the exposure visit, participants must submit the TA/DA bills along with relevant supporting documents within 10 days from the date of conclusion of the visit.
- Bills received after one month from the conclusion date will not be entertained under any circumstances.
- Participants must submit a hard copy (only) of the certified original bills, addressed to: The Director, Department of Skill Education, CBSE Integrated Office, Sector 23, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110077 The submission must also include a one-page report about the exposure visit, within 10 days of its conclusion.
- Bills submitted through email or WhatsApp will not be accepted under any circumstances.
