What degree will the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship award?
Erasmus scholarship awardees can earn one of the following degrees:
Joint Degree: Two universities together award a joint degree.
Multiple Degree: Two separate degree certificates from different universities.
Who can apply for Erasmus Mundus Scholarship?
Candidates applying for this scholarship must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
- Final year students can also apply, provided the degree is completed by the time the course starts.
- English proficiency with a valid TOEFL/IELTS score is required.
- Have not lived in an Erasmus partner country for more than 12 months in the last 5 years.
- Have not previously held an Erasmus Mundus scholarship or other EU-funded scholarship.
Important information for the 2025-2026 batch
The Erasmus Mundus programme has clarified that no scholarships will be awarded for the 2025-2026 session. However, new funding for the 2026-2028 batch is under process and it is expected that scholarships will be available again from 2026.
Students applying in 2025 will be considered self-funding applicants. They will not receive any Erasmus funds.
Relation between the Euroculture Master Course and Erasmus
The Euroculture Master Course was first selected by Erasmus Mundus in 2005. Subsequently, this course also received funding in 2011, 2017 and 2021. In 2025, Euroculture has again applied for funding, the result of which will be available in mid-2025.
