New Delhi – In a significant update released on May 10, 2025, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has confirmed that the ongoing firing and military actions between India and Pakistan have been halted following direct communication between the two countries. This development did not involve any third-party mediation.
According to the official statement, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan initiated the call earlier this afternoon. After the outreach, both sides held discussions and reached a mutual understanding to de-escalate the situation.
Importantly, the ministry clarified that no decision has been made to hold talks on any other issue or at any other platform. The focus of this engagement was strictly limited to stopping the immediate hostilities.
