New Delhi: Delhi MCD has launched a new digital facility that allows citizens to download birth certificates directly on their mobile using DigiLocker. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has launched a new digital facility for the convenience of citizens. Under this, the birth certificate is now being made available on DigiLocker.

People will now be able to download it on their mobile phones anytime and from anywhere. The MCD has taken this step with the aim of realising the dream of Digital India. For this, the Municipal Corporation has fully successfully implemented the process of data integration with DigiLocker. After this, the birth certificate will now be available in digital form in DigiLocker.

The IT Department and NIC have been instrumental in completing this initiative. This facility has been implemented under the ‘Developed Delhi Programme’. This programme has been part of the 100-day plan, which has now been fully implemented. With the availability of digital certificates, citizens will no longer have to make rounds of government offices.
