NCERT Announces Five-Day Online Training on Digital Education Under NEP 2020; Hindi Edition to Begin from December 22

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), through its Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), has announced a five-day online training programme on “Online and Digital Education in the Context of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.”

The programme, which was earlier conducted in English, is now being offered in Hindi, widening access for educators, students, and other stakeholders across the country. The Hindi version will run from December 22 to December 26, 2025, following the English sessions held from December 15 to December 19, 2025.

Focus on NEP 2020 and Digital Transformation

According to the official notice, the training aims to familiarise participants with the vision of NEP 2020 regarding online and digital education, and its alignment with the National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage (NCF-FS) and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE).

The sessions will explore the effective use of national digital platforms such as DIKSHA, immersive technologies like Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), and the role of data-driven decision-making in improving teaching and learning outcomes.

Live Broadcast and Open Access

The training will be live-streamed daily from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on NCERT’s official YouTube channel. In addition, the sessions will be broadcast on PM e-Vidya DTH TV channels (6–12) and the Jio TV mobile app. Recorded sessions will also be made available through a dedicated YouTube playlist, allowing participants to revisit key concepts at their convenience.
