NCERT CIET Launches Online Training Series on “Ghost in the Machine: Navigating Self-Driving Threats”
NCERT CIET has issued an important notice regarding a new online training series titled “Ghost in the Machine: Navigating Self-Driving Threats”. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) through CIET is organising this special online training in line with the vision of NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023. Why is NCERT Organising This Online Training?
NCERT has started this initiative because digital learning and AI tools are growing rapidly in schools and online platforms. While technology improves learning opportunities, it also creates challenges such as cyberbullying, phishing, deepfakes, identity theft, misinformation, and misuse of digital tools.
The training aims to help educators and learners understand these risks and develop safe digital habits. NCERT also wants participants to learn how to identify manipulated content, protect personal data, and respond to online threats responsibly.

NCERT will broadcast all sessions live on the NCERT Official YouTube Channel and PM e-Vidya DTH TV Channels from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM daily. Learners can also watch the sessions later through the official YouTube playlist.

How Can Participants Get the Certificate?
Learners who want a certificate must join the course through the DIKSHA platform. The certificate will count as part of the 50 hours Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme.
To receive the certificate, learners must:
- Fill the registration form
- Complete all course activities
- Watch the digital resources
- Score 70% or above in the final assessment
- Submit the feedback form

How to Join the NCERT Online Course?
Participants who want certificates must first register on DIKSHA and link their APAAR ID and DigiLocker ID. After joining the course, they need to complete all learning activities and pass the assessment.
Learners who only want to attend the sessions can directly watch them live on YouTube or PM e-Vidya channels without registration.

Learners who aim for certificate, follow the given steps:
- Step 1: Register in DIKSHA. Link your APAAR ID and digi locker ID (If you do not have an APAAR or Digilocker ID, create one and then add the details in DIKSHA portal). If this is already done, this step may be skipped.
- Step 2: Join the online course using the course link ( Link will be updated on 08 May 2026) (Refer to the tutorial to understand the process of joining a course – https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcsj1x9n9h4j0TtGCy_jKJyEX7y6mD6Rs ).
- Step 3: Fill out the registration form given inside the course
- Step 4: Watch the videos given inside the course.
- Step 5: Complete all the activities given in the course, like discussion forum, interactive activities, assignments etc.,
- Step 6: Take the final assessment. Three attempts can be tried. 70% and above is the eligibility to get a certificate. In case you couldn’t get 70% and above within three attempts, you will not be eligible to get a certificate.
- Step 7: Learners who meet all the criteria will get the digital certificate, and they can access the certificate in their profile page.
