NCERT-CIET and UNESCO Launch Free Online Training on Online Violence Against Children With Participation Certificate

NCERT-CIET in collaboration with UNESCO Regional Office for South Asia has launched a free online training programme on “Online Violence Against Children.” The training aims to help teachers educators students and parents understand online risks and promote safe digital behaviour among children. Participants can also earn a digital participation certificate through DIKSHA as part of 50 hours Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

What Participants Will Learn in This Online Training Programme

The five day online training programme will focus on cyberbullying online safety digital ethics child protection and responsible internet use. Experts from UNESCO AIIMS NCPCR and NIMHANS will guide participants through different aspects of online violence and child safety in digital spaces.

Why Is This Training Important for Teachers and Students?

NCERT said online violence has become a serious concern for children because social interactions are increasingly shifting to digital platforms. The training will help educators identify online risks support students and promote safe and responsible technology use in schools.

The training focuses on online violence against children digital safety cyberbullying legal protection and responsible internet behaviour. Experts from UNESCO AIIMS NCPCR and NIMHANS will guide participants during the sessions.

How to Participate in the NCERT Online Training

Learners who only want to attend the live sessions can watch them on the NCERT Official YouTube channel and PM e-Vidya DTH TV channels from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Recorded sessions will also be available later on YouTube.

Learners who want a participation certificate must follow these steps:

  1. Register on the DIKSHA platform and link your APAAR ID and DigiLocker ID.
  2. Join the online course using the DIKSHA course link that will be shared on the last day of the live session.
  3. Watch all videos and digital learning resources available in the course.
  4. Complete all activities assignments and discussion tasks.
  5. Take the final assessment and score at least 70 percent within three attempts.
  6. Submit the feedback form to complete the course process.

After completing all requirements learners will receive a digital certificate on their DIKSHA profile. They can also access the certificate through DigiLocker.

How Can Participants Get the Certificate?

Learners who want the participation certificate must join the course through DIKSHA after the last live session. Participants need to complete course activities watch all resources score at least 70 percent in the final assessment and submit feedback forms.
