Learn How to Create Educational Videos: NCERT Opens Online Training for Teachers and Students
NCERT has launched a five-day online training programme titled “Development of Video Resources” for teachers, educators, and learners.
Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET-NCERT) is organising a five-hour online training programme titled “Development of Video Resources.” The training will be held from 17 to 21 November 2025, every day from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, in English mode.
This initiative focuses on helping teachers, students, and administrators understand how to create, edit, and use video resources as part of digital learning. The sessions will explain the what, why, and how of developing video-based eContent that supports effective teaching and learning.
The training will be broadcast live on NCERT’s Official YouTube Channel (youtube.com/ncertofficial) and simulcast on PM eVidya DTH TV Channels (6–12) and the Jio TV mobile app. Participants can also watch the recordings later through a dedicated YouTube playlist for flexible learning.
Why This Training Matters
As per NEP 2020 (Clause 23.6), developing and using digital teaching-learning content is a major educational priority. Teachers must be equipped to integrate technology and eContent—especially video-based materials—into classroom practices.
Video resources are now an essential part of eLearning. They make learning engaging, improve focus, and help students understand complex topics more easily. This training will help educators produce quality educational videos, from script writing to editing and dissemination, promoting a more interactive and visual learning experience.
Training Objectives
After completing this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand NEP 2020’s recommendations on eContent and video development.
- Identify and create different types of video resources.
- Write effective video scripts.
- Record, edit, and evaluate educational videos.
- Share and use video resources across various learning platforms.
