NCERT will conduct a five-day online training series titled “Human Manipulation in Cyber Fraud: Prevention and Protection.” The free training programme will help teachers and learners identify cyber scams, stay safe online and build responsible digital habits
The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), under the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), has announced a five-day online training programme on “Human Manipulation in Cyber Fraud: Prevention and Protection.”
The training will run from June 29 to July 3, 2026, and aims to help teachers, students, parents, and education professionals protect themselves from growing cyber threats.
The programme supports the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023 by promoting safe, ethical, and responsible use of digital technology.
NCERT to Build Cyber Safety Awareness Through Five-Day Online Training
CIET-NCERT designed this online training to help participants understand how cyber criminals manipulate human behaviour to commit online fraud. The programme will explain common cyber threats, teach practical safety measures, and encourage responsible digital citizenship. Participants will also learn how to identify online scams and protect personal, financial, and institutional information.
Training Will Cover Modern Cyber Fraud Techniques
The training will explain several types of cyber fraud that affect people every day. Experts will discuss phishing, vishing, and smishing scams that trick users into sharing passwords, banking details, and personal information. The sessions will also explain how fraudsters misuse artificial intelligence, deepfakes, fake voice recordings, and synthetic media to deceive people online.
Participants Will Learn Safe Digital Practices
The programme will help participants identify warning signs of cyber fraud and develop strong digital safety habits. It will also explain the risks of social media oversharing, digital footprints, and online profiling. Participants will learn practical ways to verify online information, avoid digital impersonation, and report cyber incidents.
