NCERT Launches Online Training on Educational Video Creation for Teachers, Offers Participation Certificate

CIET-NCERT launches free online training for teachers on educational video creation, script writing, editing, and digital learning with certificate support.

CIET-NCERT has launched a free online training programme for teachers and educators. The training focuses on educational video creation script writing editing and digital learning. Participants can also earn a certificate through the DIKSHA platform after completing the course requirements.

Training Focuses on Modern Digital Learning Skills

The five day training series is titled “Video Resources: Script to Screen”. It will run from 18 May to 22 May 2026. The programme aims to help teachers teacher-educators content developers and media professionals create better educational videos for classrooms and digital platforms.

Why CIET-NCERT Started This Programme

CIET-NCERT said schools are now using more digital content than before. Because of this change teachers need stronger skills in video production and digital teaching methods. The training will explain how to plan scripts produce videos edit content and create learner friendly educational resources.

Special Focus on Inclusive Learning

The programme also focuses on inclusive learning. One session will explain how to create educational videos in Indian Sign Language or ISL. Another session will teach participants how to evaluate whether educational videos are effective and easy for learners to understand.

Experts Will Lead the Sessions

Experts from CIET-NCERT will lead all five sessions during the week. The first day will focus on the concept and need for educational videos. The second day will cover script writing. The third day will explain video production and editing. The fourth day will discuss ISL video development. The final session will focus on evaluation of video resources.

Where People Can Watch the Training

CIET-NCERT will broadcast the sessions live on NCERT’s official YouTube channel. The sessions will also air on PM e-Vidya DTH TV channels from 4 pm to 5 pm. Viewers can also watch the programme on DD Free Dish Dish TV and the JioTV mobile app. Recorded sessions will remain available online for later viewing.

How Teachers Can Get the Certificate

Participants who want a certificate must join the course through DIKSHA. They must complete all learning materials activities and assessments. Learners need at least 70 percent marks in the final assessment to receive the digital certificate.

Important Dates for the Course

The enrolment for the certificate course will open on 22 May 2026. The enrolment window will remain active until 1 March 2027. The course will officially close on 15 March 2027.

Learners who aim for certificate, follow the given steps:

  • Step 1: Register in DIKSHA. Link your APAAR ID and digi locker ID (If you do not have an APAAR or Digilocker ID, create one and then add the details in DIKSHA portal). If this is already done, this step may be skipped.
  • Step 2: Join the online course using the course link ( Link will be updated on 22 May 2026) (Refer to the tutorial to understand the process of joining a course – https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcsj1x9n9h4j0TtGCy_jKJyEX7y6mD6Rs ).
  • Step 3: Watch the videos given inside the course.
  • Step 4: Complete all the activities given in the course, like discussion forum, interactive activities, assignments etc.,
  • Step 5: Take the final assessment. Three attempts can be tried. 70% and above is the eligibility to get a certificate. In case you couldn’t get 70% and above within three attempts, you will not be eligible to get a certificate.
  • Step 6: Learners who meet all the criteria will get the digital certificate, and they can access the certificate in their profile page.
