Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the CBSE’s Integrated Office Complex in Dwarka, Delhi. This modern facility, built at a cost of ₹300 crore, is designed to meet high environmental standards. It has been constructed as per the Platinum Rating standards of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). The complex includes advanced offices, an auditorium, a data center, and a comprehensive water management system. Its eco-friendly design reflects CBSE’s commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.
What Are the Key Redevelopment Projects in Delhi?
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate two other major redevelopment projects in Delhi. The first is the World Trade Centre (WTC) at Nauroji Nagar, which has transformed the area by replacing over 600 old quarters with modern commercial towers.
The WTC now offers 34 lakh square feet of premium office space, equipped with cutting-edge amenities. Green building practices like solar energy generation, rainwater harvesting, and a zero-discharge system are key features of this project.
The second project is the General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) Type-II Quarters at Sarojini Nagar. This project includes 28 towers with over 2,500 residential units, designed for efficient and eco-friendly living. The quarters feature rainwater harvesting systems, water and sewage treatment plants, and solar-powered waste compactors. These facilities ensure a modern and sustainable lifestyle for residents.
What Are the New Projects in Delhi University?
Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for three new projects at Delhi University, worth over ₹600 crore. These projects include an academic block in the Eastern Campus at Surajmal Vihar and another in the Western Campus at Dwarka. The Veer Savarkar College at Roshanpura, Najafgarh, will also be developed with state-of-the-art facilities to enhance higher education opportunities.
A Step Towards Sustainability and Modernization
These projects demonstrate the government’s focus on promoting sustainable infrastructure and improving educational and residential facilities. They mark a significant step towards building a greener, more efficient, and modern urban future for Delhi.
