CM Yogi Approves ₹1 Lakh Assistance for Newlyweds Under Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana 2025
The Yogi Adityanath CM of Uttar Pradesh government has announced a major decision that will benefit thousands of financially weak families across the state. Under the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana, the financial assistance provided to newly married couples has been increased from ₹51,000 to ₹1,00,000.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made this announcement during a review meeting with the Social Welfare Department. The aim is to strengthen social support for economically disadvantaged groups by improving the existing scheme. He directed officials to implement the new structure immediately so that upcoming wedding ceremonies can benefit from it.

The revised assistance amount will be divided into three parts to ensure support for various aspects of a newlywed couple’s life:
- ₹60,000 will be directly deposited into the bride’s bank account, providing her with some financial security for the future.
- ₹25,000 will be given as household gifts, which will include basic items needed to start a married life.
- ₹15,000 will be used for the wedding ceremony expenses to ensure a dignified mass marriage event.
This structured support aims to provide direct financial help, ensuring that the funds are effectively utilized.

Alongside the increased financial aid, the annual income limit for eligibility has also been raised. Previously, families earning up to ₹2 lakh per year could apply. Now, this limit has been increased to ₹3 lakh, allowing more families to benefit from the scheme.
CM Yogi emphasized that raising the income cap is essential to make sure no eligible couple is left out. He said that the scheme has become an important form of social support for poor, backward, and underprivileged families, and it must be made accessible to as many people as possible.
