NCERT Launches Five-Day YouTube Live Series on “Empowering Teachers with AI – Phase II

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced a five-day YouTube Live Session Series titled “Empowering Teachers with AI – Phase II” to help educators, school leaders, and administrators understand and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) responsibly and effectively in the classroom.

The training sessions will be conducted from 17 to 21 November 2025, every day from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM, on NCERT’s official YouTube Channel and simultaneously broadcast on PM eVidya DTH TV Channels (6–12) and the Jio TV mobile app.

The programme aims to build teachers’ confidence in using AI as a tool for creativity, efficiency, and engagement while addressing ethical and safety challenges in digital education.

Five-Day Live Training for Teachers on Responsible and Innovative AI Use

Artificial Intelligence is transforming modern education—redefining how teachers design lessons, assess learning, and engage students. From personalized learning tools and smart content creators to automated assessments and analytics, AI is helping educators bring innovation into classrooms. However, this digital transformation also brings challenges such as data misuse, algorithmic bias, and over-reliance on automation.

This five-day series by NCERT’s Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) focuses on helping teachers strike a balance—embracing AI for growth while maintaining human creativity, ethics, and judgment at the core of education.

The programme is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), both of which emphasize preparing teachers and learners for an AI-driven future.

What Teachers Will Learn

Each live session will combine practical examples, demonstrations, and easy-to-follow tools for classroom use. Teachers will learn how to integrate AI in lesson planning, student projects, and assessments while fostering digital awareness among learners.

The sessions will also explore how AI can boost teacher productivity, strengthen student engagement, and ensure responsible digital practices in schools.

This NCERT initiative aims to make teachers comfortable with using Artificial Intelligence in education.
