Earlier the last date was 23 May 2026. The board has now given students one extra day to complete the process.

Students Will Get Extra Time for Re-Evaluation Process

CBSE also said students will receive up to two days after getting their scanned answer sheets to apply for the next step such as verification of marks or re-evaluation.

The board advised students to use the extended timeline and complete their applications carefully. CBSE also clarified that all other terms and conditions will remain unchanged.

Why CBSE Extended the Deadline

According to the official circular the CBSE portal faced unprecedented traffic and attempts of unauthorised interference. These issues caused disruptions on the website during the application process.

To avoid inconvenience for students the board decided to extend the application deadline.

What Students Should Do Now

Students who want scanned copies of their evaluated answer books should visit the official CBSE portal and complete the application before 24 May 2026.

After receiving the scanned copy students can decide whether they want to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation.

How to Apply for Scanned Answer Books

Students must apply themselves if they want a scanned copy of their evaluated answer book. CBSE will upload the scanned copy in the student’s login account and students can download it from there.

  • CBSE will provide scanned copies on a first come first served basis. Students who apply earlier will receive their scanned copies earlier.
  • Students can apply for one subject or multiple subjects together. However they must complete the application in one attempt and not in parts.
  • If students are not satisfied with the marks after checking the scanned copy they can apply for the next step which is re-evaluation.

  • Students should check the marking scheme and question paper available on the CBSE website before applying.
  • CBSE will update the request status in the student’s login account.
  • The board said marks may increase or decrease after re-evaluation. Even a reduction of one mark will be updated in the final result.
  • CBSE also clarified that the result after re-evaluation will be final. Students cannot request another review or appeal after that.

Students can visit the official CBSE website for complete details about the re-evaluation and verification process.
