CBSE Sample Papers 2026-27 Released for Classes 10 and 12: Check Question Paper Pattern and Passing Criteria

New Delhi, September 21, 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Sample Question Papers (SQPs) and Marking Schemes (MS) for Classes 10 and 12 for the academic session 2026–27.

The Board issued the notification on September 21, 2026, for all heads of CBSE-affiliated schools.

SQPs to Guide Students and Teachers

According to CBSE, the Sample Question Papers are designed to provide a broad template for the examination and guide schools in maintaining uniformity and proper coverage of the prescribed curriculum.

The SQPs will also help students and teachers understand the question paper design and assessment approach. CBSE has advised that the sample papers should be used as part of classroom teaching and learning activities, with a focus on applying concepts to real-life situations.

No Change in Question Paper Design

CBSE has clarified that there will be no change in the question paper design and assessment pattern for the academic session 2026–27.

The passing criteria will also remain unchanged and will continue to follow the criteria applicable during the 2025–26 academic session.
