NCERT-CIET and Google launch a new AI in Education course for teachers on DIKSHA with Gemini and NotebookLM training.

NCERT-CIET and Google for Education have launched a new professional development course on the DIKSHA platform called “AI in Education: Empowering Educators for a Future-Ready India.” The course aims to help teachers learn how to use Artificial Intelligence tools responsibly in classrooms and improve digital teaching practices.

The new course is now available on DIKSHA and focuses on practical AI skills for educators. NCERT said the programme will support teachers in building future-ready classrooms through responsible AI integration and student-centred learning methods.

Course Will Train Teachers in AI Tools and Digital Teaching

The course introduces teachers to important AI concepts and classroom applications. Participants will learn prompt writing techniques AI-supported teaching methods and ways to create grounded content using Google’s NotebookLM tool.

The training also covers multilingual classroom support automated differentiation and the AAA Evaluation Framework. According to the organisers the course will help teachers improve lesson planning content creation productivity and personalised learning experiences for students.

Teachers Will Learn Gemini and NotebookLM Tools

The programme gives special focus to Google AI tools like Gemini and NotebookLM. Teachers will learn how to use Gemini for planning and classroom support while NotebookLM will help them create citation-backed learning resources from their own materials.

The course also explains how educators can use AI safely and responsibly in schools.

Course Structure and Duration

The course includes four learning modules followed by a final assessment. Each module has a duration of around 60 minutes. Participants must complete the assessment to receive the certificate.
