NCERT announces a four-day YouTube Live Series on “Empowering Parents with AI” to help families understand safe and smart AI use in education.
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced a four-day YouTube Live Series titled “Empowering Parents with AI” to help parents understand how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping education and everyday learning.
The live sessions will be conducted from November 7–8 and November 14–15, 2025, every day from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on NCERT’s Official YouTube Channel, with simulcasts on PM eVidya Channels (6–12) and the Jio TV mobile app.
The initiative aims to empower parents with the knowledge and confidence to guide their children in using AI safely, ethically, and effectively at home and in school.
AI and the Role of Parents in the Digital Learning Era
Artificial Intelligence has quickly become part of children’s lives — from personalized learning apps and smart study tools to AI-powered creative platforms.
It allows students to explore new ideas, get instant feedback, and learn through more engaging and interactive methods. For parents, however, it brings both opportunities and concerns — including screen time, online privacy, data protection, and over-dependence on technology.
The sessions are designed to help parents understand how AI can support learning while teaching children digital responsibility, balance, and critical thinking. Parents will learn how to discuss online ethics and encourage children to see technology as a tool — not a replacement for human creativity and reasoning.
Purpose of the Live Series
The four-day YouTube series will guide parents through:
- The basics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it works in daily life.
- Ways AI is being used in education, creativity, and home learning environments.
- Recognizing and avoiding AI-related risks such as biased information or privacy issues.
- Teaching children responsible technology use, ethics, and data safety.
- Understanding the future impact of AI on learning, career paths, and innovation.
Each live session will use simple examples — from school projects and games to creative arts — to show parents how AI can enhance curiosity and learning when used thoughtfully.
