What Is This CBSE Circular All About?
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CBSE has announced a one-day Orientation cum Capacity Building Workshop. This workshop aims to equip Principals and Teachers with essential skills and strategies for integrating Vocational, Art, and Physical Education into the school curriculum from Grade 6 onwards.
The NEP 2020 envisions that at least 50% of students should have access to vocational education by 2025, focusing on experiential learning instead of rote memorization.
What Will Be Covered in the CBSE Orientation Workshop?
The workshop will help educators understand how to implement:
- Vocational Education
- Art Education
- Physical Education
It is based on the Kaushal Bodh activity-cum-textbooks developed by NCERT, designed to connect classroom learning with real-world work experiences. These resources align with NEP 2020 and NCFSE 2023 and are available for Grades 6 to 8.
